2U 48-Port Sliding Fiber Patch Panel for 19-Inch Racks

A 2U, 48-port fiber optic patch panel that brings fiber termination, splicing and patching together in data centers, telecom rooms and FTTH distribution racks. With LC duplex adapters it supports 96 fibers, and a sliding drawer with a fold-down front door gives access from the front.

Optical and mating values apply to the LC/UPC assembly, not the empty enclosure; other interfaces follow the agreed component specifications. Allow clearance at the front for drawer travel and door opening, and for cable entry and routing.

With LC duplex adapters the panel supports 96 fibers; confirm the fiber capacity and pigtail quantity for the adapters you choose. Pre-assembly is agreed with our sales team; supply follows the agreed configuration, and the photos show one assembled example.

Installation

Installation and Packaging

  1. Secure the enclosure to the rack and fix the incoming cables before routing fibers to the splice trays.
  2. Route pigtails and fiber slack along the guides, follow the bend-radius requirements of the cable and fiber, and keep fibers clear of moving drawer parts and door hinges.
  3. Leave enough slack for drawer travel. Check that no fiber is trapped before closing, and keep unused optical ports capped.

How many fibers does the panel support?

The panel has 48 front adapter positions. With LC duplex adapters it supports 96 fibers; for other adapters, confirm the fiber capacity for your configuration.

What insertion loss and return loss can I expect?

For the LC/UPC assembly, insertion loss is ≤0.20 dB and return loss is ≥50 dB at 1310 nm and 1550 nm. Other interfaces follow the component specifications agreed with you.

Can it be supplied with adapters and pigtails installed?

Yes. It can be supplied as an enclosure only, with adapters installed, or with adapters and pigtails installed. The pre-assembly is agreed with our sales team when you order.

What is the operating temperature range?

The panel is specified for operation from -40 to +65 °C (-40 to +149 °F).

Can it be used in FTTH networks?

Yes. Besides data centers and telecom rooms, it is used in FTTH distribution racks for fiber termination, splicing and patching.

Are samples available?
